WISE LEADER – BRIAN AULT
Brian Ault is the Warehouse Supervisor for Kreg Tool. Kreg Tool was struggling tremendously with their inventory accuracy. Since they were only in the high 80% range for their daily accuracy with their current ERP, they knew they needed some help to bring this number up.
This, along with several other reasons drove them to search for a Warehouse Management system. Brian was instrumental in this entire process, and after investigating several options they ultimately chose WISE along with some other management tools within the Royal 4 System. For this achievement Royal 4 is pleased to induct Brian Ault into our exclusive coalition known as the WISE leaders program.
“I wanted to share some good news with the Royal 4 team. We have gone from the high 80% range to consistently being above 99.5% on our daily inventory accuracy, and we have done this while increasing our on-hand inventory by 50%! It has not been an easy journey but we are here. It would not have been possible without your technical teams and the WISE warehouse management system. The graphic chart below tells the story.
We have seen improvement in all the other areas of our business as well. We are consistently shipping same day or next day on our customer orders, our material handlers are no longer searching for material, and we have several metrics for warehouse efficiency with data pulled from WISE. I am the only one of the search and implementation team that still works here at Kreg, so I know where we were and where we knew we could get. I spread the good news about WISE as often as I can. Royal 4 has been awesome to work with so please share this good news with whomever you like, as it is greatly appreciated.”

HISTORY: In 1986, Craig Sommerfeld was in the process of building his home and needed a way to attach his doweled face frames to his kitchen cabinet carcass members. Although he was a tool and die-maker by trade, Craig had a problem. Not wanting to nail the face frames on and then fill them with putty, he designed and built “Craig’s Jig”, which was a single-hole pocket hole jig crafted from steel and aluminum. Encouraged by friends and coworkers, Craig built a few more jigs and set out to show them to the public at local woodworking shows. Month after month and year after year, Craig continued to build his products and promote them at weekend woodworking shows. Hundreds of trade shows and thousands of demonstrations later, Kreg Tool Company has emerged as the leader in pocket-hole technology. From Kreg Jigs® to fully-automatic machines, Kreg offers simple solutions that have changed the way thousands of woodworkers join wood. In addition, Kreg offers other innovative tools for clamping, joining, routing, cutting and measuring, and more.
